Art Therapy for All Ages Across Melbourne’s Bayside & Inner South

Art Therapy Bayside offers professional art therapy for children, adolescents and adults across Melbourne’s Bayside and Inner South suburbs. We provide evidence-informed, trauma-aware art therapy to support anxiety, ADHD, Autism (ASD), trauma, emotional regulation challenges and life transitions.

Art therapy is a therapeutic process that uses creative expression to explore thoughts, feelings and experiences in a safe, supportive environment. No artistic skill is required — the focus is on expression, reflection and emotional growth.

Sessions are available at selected clinic locations across Melbourne’s south, with flexible availability to support individuals and families.

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a recognised mental health profession that integrates psychotherapy with creative processes. Through drawing, painting, sculpture or mixed media, clients can explore experiences that may be difficult to articulate verbally.

Art therapy supports emotional regulation, insight, resilience and wellbeing.

Art therapy can support young people experiencing:

  • Anxiety and emotional regulation challenges

  • ADHD and attention difficulties

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Trauma histories

  • Attachment difficulties

  • Behavioural and sensory challenges

  • Limited verbal expression

  • Grief and major life transitions

As a registered member of ANZACATA and listed on Psychology Today, Art Therapy Bayside provides professional, evidence-informed therapeutic support.

Meet your clinician

Hi, I’m Kirsten — a qualified Art Therapist and Counsellor with over 10 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families across Melbourne’s Bayside and Inner South communities.

I offer individual art therapy, play therapy, parent counselling, and dyadic family sessions grounded in creative, relational, and evidence-informed practice. My approach is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, client-led, and strength-based.

Through expressive art processes, sand tray work, symbolic exploration, movement-based interventions, and play-based therapy, I support emotional regulation, nervous system safety, attachment development, and meaningful self-expression.

I believe healing happens in safe, connected relationships — and that creativity provides a powerful pathway for growth, resilience, and emotional wellbeing at every age.
